1. Soak a cup of black chickpeas overnight.

2. Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas to remove any debris.

3. Boil the soaked chickpeas along with soya chunks, ginger, and garlic in an Instant Pot or a pressure cooker with an inch of water until the chickpeas turn tender.

4. Drain the remaining water from this mixture and transfer it to a bowl. Mash this mixture with a masher to form a thick, smooth paste.

5. Put all the spices (Black Pepper, cumin, coriander seeds, cloves, and cinnamon) in a frying pan and dry roast on medium flame for 10 min or until the spices release their aroma.

6. Let the spices cool and then grind them to make a fine powder.

7. Add grated onion, green chili, coriander leaves, and ground spices to the chickpea paste.

8. Add salt according to your taste.

9. Make round kebabs of this mixture with your hand.

10. Put oil in the frying pan and shallow fry these kebabs.

11. You can also bake these kebabs in a microwave or OTG. Brush a little oil on the kebabs and bake them at 180 °C for 15 minutes.

12. Serve with mint chutney or any other sauce.
